LIPH4SAS_EU will help to develop a Phenotyping Research Infrastructure at the Euroepan level. It will project to build the project Pheno-Live to be submitted to the call HORIZON-INFRA-2024-DEV-01-01: Research infrastructure concept development launched by the European Commission. Over recent years, the European Commission, Member States and Associated Countries have been closely collaborating, in particular within the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), to develop an integrated and efficient ecosystem of research infrastructures (RIs) in Europe. The challenges for the near future are to consolidate and optimize the European Research Infrastructure landscape and enhance its capacity to support frontier research and address the emerging and new scientific and societal objectives associated with the transition towards a sustainable and resilient Europe. The call thus aims to create a world-leading coherent, responsive, sustainable and attractive RI landscape in Europe, by reducing its fragmentation at European, national and regional level. Specifically, proposals should contribute to the development of coordinated research infrastructure capacity among countries and regions, capable to increase its attractiveness to researchers from all over the world thanks to a strengthened scientific excellence and performance and efficiency.
The Pheno-Live project we will submit to this call will last 3-years and ask for a support of 3 million Euros. The project intends to prepare the application to the ESFRI roadmap for European RI networks, which is expected to open mid-2025.
